The Impending Holiday

It has been nutty the past few days. Always something to do.

We had our office holiday party on Friday so by popular request I made Rice Crispy Treats. I even made extra for the party. Big mistake. Everyone brought in tons of food, which meant that most people only had 1 treat, unlike when I bring them in for no reason, and people eat 4. So I ended up taking a half a tray home with me... and then proceeded to eat them all over the weekend. I'm not even sure if I ate anything else aside from Rice Crispy Treats...

If anyone is interested in the recipe:

1/2 stick of butter

16 oz bag of big marshmallows

12 oz box of rice crispy treats

I use far more marshmallows than called for in the normal recipe, but I like them better that way.

I have also been busy crafting marble magnets and push pins.

I made little sets for some of the girls I'm close with in the office. The feedback was nice :) They couldn't believe I'd made them, and they are looking cute on filing cabinets and on cork boards.

I'll probably take the stuff to my parent's house when I visit for Christmas. I doubt I actually do anything with them but I'm at least going to plan too. I always have great expectations for the things I'll do on vacation. It never happens. Like the gym- I'd like to keep my gym routine while I'm at home, but I'm going to be honest and say the likely hood of it actually happening is slim. Which is a shame because the gym has been good to me the last few months. :)

What I am not looking forward to is the weather... my parents live in the mountains and the last time I spoke to my mum she said they were looking at a high of 6 this week. SIX!!! It has been warm in Richmond the last few days and I can't imagine how cold 6 is going to feel. I like the weather here so much better. Still, it will be nice to see my family and that is what the holiday is all about.
